What Makes It Special

Authentic Pultec Topology

True parallel low boost/cut architecture with separate turnover frequencies (6× for boost, 13.5× for cut). This enables the famous 'Pultec trick' — simultaneous bass boost and low-mid cut.

Original Frequency Points

All authentic frequencies: 20, 30, 60, 100 Hz (low) and 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 16 kHz (high). The legendary 16 kHz 'air' setting used on countless hit records.

Authentic Boost/Cut Ranges

Matching original specifications: Low boost 0-13.5 dB, Low cut 0-17.5 dB, High boost 0-18 dB. Musical, gentle slopes that affect adjacent frequencies naturally.

Variable Bandwidth Control

Adjustable Q (0.5-1.5) for the high frequency boost section. From broad, subtle enhancement to focused, surgical presence.

High Cut Filter

2nd-order Butterworth lowpass at 5, 10, or 20 kHz. Tame harshness, create vintage character, or leave wide open at 20 kHz.

Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer

CRT-style display with EQ curve overlay and live spectrum analysis. Visualize the Pultec trick in action — see the characteristic frequency response curve.
